Important Rules to Note

In general, the official rules of the GAA are to be applied to our Sciath na Scol games. Listed below are the exceptions and some other rules that are sometimes not clearly understood.

In Girls' Football matches the ball can be picked from the ground. However, if girls are playing in Boys' Football competitions, they must follow all the rules of Boys' Football so they must rise the football with their toe.

All kick-outs can be taken from the player's hands.

All other rules are the same as those used in the GAA.

Please Remember

It is mandatory to use a mouthguard in all boys’ and girls’ football matches and training sessions.
