The Sciath na Scol Indoor Series takes place immediately after Christmas and entries are now open. Rules for Indoor Hurling and Peil Faoi Dhíon are attached.

Closing date for entries is Friday December 6th and fixtures will be issued before Christmas.

Please note that if a school registers teams but does not attend, the school will still be responsible for the entry fees. This is because halls must be booked in advance, rental costs are high, and once booked, the fees remain payable regardless of attendance.

Week of February 10^th – 4^th Class Camogie and Hurling County Finals

Closing date for entries is Friday December 6th and fixtures will be issued before Christmas.

A few short notes:

• In 4th Class Series, schools may enter up to 2 teams in either the Non-Competitive or Competitive Series.
• In 3rd Class Peil Faoi Dhíon, schools may enter up to 2 teams.
• There is no limit on panel size.
• For schools entering the 4th Class Competitive Series, winners of the regional blitzes will qualify for the County Finals during the week of February 10th .
• Entry is €20 per team entered. Please remember that if a school enter teams, but do not attend, schools will still be responsible for the entry fees. This is due to the fact that hall rental is expensive, and once booked, we are still obliged to pay for them regardless of attendance. Also, it is very unfair on schools who attend a venue expecting to get a chance to play against other schools, only to find that some of those schools do not turn up.
• The Peil Faoi Dhíon Series will utilise Pella posts which have been installed in the venues listed.

Hurling/Camogie Skills to be held in early 2025. Keep an eye on email for details

Each year 240 children are selected to play in Croke Park in the colours of the competing senior teams in front of huge attendances. For the children who are selected it is a very proud and memorable occasion. Some of the children who have played in the mini sevens have gone on to represent their county in many competitions.

The mini sevens is structured so that every county will be represented on one of the six days. A pupil from your school might be lining out on All Ireland Semi Final day or All Ireland Final Day 2025.

Mini sevens – This year we are having a skills competition.

No late entries or entries not submitted online will be accepted. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA THE ONLINE FORM (email will not be accepted). (one boy and one girl for each code only… ie a co- ed school can send 1 boy and 1 girl in each code, a girls school 1 girl and a boys school 1 boy) in each code
Remember this competition has age restrictions and will be strictly adhered to by the INTO.

Boys Football/Girls Football will be on Tuesday 26th November  in Páirc Ui Chaoimh We will have morning and early afternoon sessions. Times will be sent out to each school when we know numbers taking part (subject to change)

Dates to note in 2025 Also note our Annual Primary School Sports Quiz will be held in Rochestown Park Hotel on Wednesday 15^th January 2025 from 4pm to 6pm. Teams of 4. Entry forms to be sent out shortly. (all 4 team participants must be from the same primary school)

Also we will be sending out entry forms for indoor hurling/camogie and Football which we will be running in January 2025 so keep an eye on emails

Cork GAA are delighted to welcome all Sciath Na Scol winners as guests to this Saturday’s All Ireland Senior Football Championship fixture versus Donegal in Páirc Uí Rinn (throw-in 2.30pm).

Winners of all finals from the past academic year are invited.

The initiative is in partnership with Sciath na Scol in recognition of the incredible work done by teachers and schools in the promotion of our games.

Free entry will be granted to all players on the panel as well as two accompanying teachers / mentors.

Each school will be situated in a designated area of the Blackrock (Cork Con) End Terrace.

If parents or supporters also want to attend, please purchase general admission tickets for the online via Ticketmaster or at participating SuperValu / Centra outlets.

At half-time the respective teams will be paraded around the pitch and will be introduced to the crowd.

It would be great if school banners and cups were visible.

If interested, please fill out the following link before 11am on Friday, May 31st.

Please assemble at Gate A, located at the Cork Con End outside of Páirc Uí Rinn at 1.30pm, where you will be met by a Sciath na Scol officer.

A half-time parade will incorporate a full lap of the pitch and the stadium MC will introduce the teams as they walk around. We’d love to see banners or colours to distinguish the schools.
